Graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1971.
Studied drawing and painting under Sir Robin Philipson and David Michie.

Elected artist member of Glasgow Art Club, of Paisley Art Institute, of Glasgow Society of Women Artists and elected professional member of Visual Arts Scotland.
Work has been regularly exhibited in venues throughout Britain.
Paintings are in private collections in Europe and U.S.A. and work has been collected by the Royal Bank of Scotland for their collection of contemporary art.

Awards
Winner of The Kennox Prize for 2003

Invited by East Renfrewshire Council to be the featured artist in the East Renfrewshire Festival of Colour for 2003.
